Description
The WS2812 is a 16-bit RGB LED that combines a full-color RGB LED and a control circuit into one device. The LED has a 5050 package, making it small and compact, and it is frequently used in LED lighting projects and other applications that require programmable colour control. Each LED has three color channels (red, green, and blue) and can produce a wide range of colors by adjusting the brightness of each channel.
The LED is controlled by a single data pin, which allows for daisy-chaining multiple LEDs together to form a chain. This makes it easy to control large arrays of LEDs with a single microcontroller or microprocessor. It is compatible with a variety of microcontroller like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and others. It supports the popular NeoPixel library, which provides an easy-to-use interface for controlling the LED.
5V and consumes low amount of power.
