Description
The Waveshare 5inch 800×480 LCD HDMI Resistive Touch Screen is a compact 5-inch TFT LCD display designed for Raspberry Pi projects, embedded applications, DIY electronics, robotics, and portable computing setups. It provides an 800 × 480 hardware resolution and uses an HDMI interface for video input, while touch control is handled through an SPI touch port.
The resistive touch screen allows users to interact directly with supported applications, making it useful for Raspberry Pi-based control panels, monitoring systems, kiosks, and interactive projects. The display supports Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+, 3A+, 3B, 2B, 1B+, and 1A+ through direct connection, while Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, Zero W, and Zero require an additional HDMI cable.
Supported operating systems include Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, Kali, and RetroPie. 152 kg design, and an included stylus, this 5-inch HDMI touch display offers a practical solution for makers who need a small touchscreen monitor for Raspberry Pi and electronics projects. Features: Hardware resolution: 800 x 480. Touch controls are resistive. Compatible with all Raspberry Pi revisions and allows for direct connection.
(If you're using a Raspberry Pi Zero or Zero 2 W, you'll need an extra HDMI cable). Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu, Kali, and Retropie systems are all supported. Also functions as a computer monitor; in this case, the touch panel is missing, and an HDMI cable is required. HDMI interface for display; no I/Os required.
